Border Installation

In this room you will find an assortment of simple materials: string, paper, film, and floor-tape. You will also find sound, light, and darkness.

The composition of these materials into an installation intends to communicate the fluid nature of borders and their arbitrary regulation: illuminated, inviting, green lines that evoke the clarity of administrational regimes, with the potential to become obstacles that one can cross with unknown and varied consequences.

Our pathway leads to nowhere and it cannot be followed by anyone else apart from us. We are the regulating authority of this room, and this was our decision.

Feel free to enter the bridge-corridor at the far end of the room. Just be sure to close the door behind you to continue keeping Light and Darkness separate.
